We’ve been invited to put on an exhibition of Berkshire pigs at the 2008 Turriff Agricultural Show, said to be the biggest two-day agricultural show in Scotland.
The invitation is hugely significant as no Scottish agricultural shows have had pigs in recent years and, in the case of Turriff, for many years.
It also comes at a time when the pig industry is under a lot of pressure as breeders and producers are squeezed between rocketing cost and low, or in some cases falling, prices.
