Defender maintenance—the Stonehead way

The Land Rover Defender is coming up for its MoT in six weeks time, so I thought I’d better do something about the sharp, jagged shards of rust masquerading as the front passenger door sill. It’s a particularly daft piece of design, even by Land Rover Standards, as the sill is simply a piece of steel plate with a rolled top, spot welded to the steel frame underneath.
