The mouse was busy investigating something in the bottom of a hole

I was walking along the track next to one of the pig pens when I glimpsed a flicker of movement out of the corner of my eye. I stopped and walked over to the pen, where I spotted this little fellow busily investigating the bottom of a trotter print.

Crunch time

While I was out checking over Delilah’s litter this morning, deciding if any were suitable for registering in the handbook and checking if they were ready for weaning next week, the Other Half was out picking up feed.

When we sold the last litter, at £45 each for birth notified weaners, we made a small loss as feed prices rose between agreeing prices with people and the piglets being collected.

When feed prices roses again six weeks ago, I therefore recalculated our weaner prices, to £50 for birth notified weaners, and informed several prospective buyers of the new prices. (Some of whom were extremely discontented at being asked to pay that much and pulled out.)
