Why no mention of sowing vegetable seeds today?
Simple, I was engaged in a rather smellier sort of digging.
The sort that results in me stripping at the back door, hosing myself down, disinfecting myself, hosing myself down again, having a shower, getting dressed again and putting a load of stinking clothes in the washing machine.
I cooked up another of our three-night meals on Wednesday, starting with a kilogram of pork and eight potatoes and finishing with my take on goulash.
Now, before anyone takes me to task I do know that true gulyás is a soup of beef, onions, red peppers, and paprika.
I, on the other hand, do not have any beef, did have an abundance of potatoes, had only half a red pepper and a slightly manky green pepper. Read the rest of this entry »
Does anyone recognise this pair? They were seen loitering about the local school on parents’ evening but were not known to teachers and parents! Thanks to the Wee ‘Un for taking a photo of us in our rarely seen glad rags. My suit and shoes even needed a thorough dusting before they could be worn.
