Some days it’s all uphill

I’ve spent a couple of hours a day for the last three days dismantling, rebuilding and reinforcing the chicken house that had its roof ripped off in the last gale.

It’s a commercially built one that we bought second hand, and the manufacturers had used cheap, lightweight, chipboard screws that snapped under the strain of 70mph-plus winds.

I rebuilt it with proper woodscrews (and lots of them), annular nails and extra braces.
