Thanks to Oddball, over on the Velovision forum, I now have an Oregon Scientific ATC-2K waterproof, hands-free action camera. I’ve already fitted the mounting to the handle bars of the Kangaroo Bike and shot some brief test footage, so tomorrow I’ll be out there filming all my rides on the trike. That means assorted mad, bad and dangerous drivers will be able to have their moment of fame—in their own little movie…
A big thanks to Oddball and all the cyclists on the Velovision forum for their help and support since last year’s hit-and-run.

I do hope said mad, bad and reckless drivers will find themselves being viewed by a wider audience?
Watch out White Van Man !
Stoneycam is born!
Stay safe !
Yes a sorta of force field. Sorry about you losing the kerosene, worst that happened here was a stolen car crashing and being left in our garage.
I bet you had a bull near that kerosene, they won’t touch it.
Or a donkey.
I’m not sure if I’ll be putting the videos up on the blog. The response to earlier videos was distinctly underwhelming for the amount of time put in, plus a I had a lot of negative emails about file types, software downloads, length etc.
It’s much easier and faster to drop a couple of photos into a post.
I might do a video showing my journey, but we shall see.
There’s always Youtube. You could upload to there and then embed it like you did with my video. Relatively easy (I say relatively - its not completely easy).
A nice unit by all the reports i have seen and it is quite good at standing up to abuse. i would say think about fitting it to your helmet as you are likely to look at intresting things
as to the vids i say youtube also as it does lots of hard work for you but encoding vids is a huge pain in the arse
By a wider audience I meant the “polis”
I love it. You’re a vigilante bike rider of sorts. I still can’t believe the hit-and-run situation.
What a wonderful wonderful idea………looking forward to the results!
