Individuals can no longer be held responsible for their obesity, according to a Government-backed study.

The study has decided that individual decision making is not the problem as obesity is an inevitable consequence of a society in which energy-dense, cheap foods, labour-saving devices, motorised transport and sedentary work are rife.
