Getting the message across
8 08 2007
If signs like these don’t get people’s attention, then nothing will. We’ve spent much of the morning putting up the new signs (sourced from Raymac) around the croft in a bid to discourage people from wandering in uninvited with all the attendant risks to the livestock.
As well as two of the large “Notice” signs at the main farm entrances, we’ve also put up several smaller “No Entry” signs at the other entrances and at the corner boundaries. When money permits, we’ll also add a couple of avian flu warning signs as well - these are even better than the pig disease signs!

I will make sure I wash my hands before I arrive folks!
hope it works.
Thanks for the link, may well be useful to me
I hope the signs help. Have you thought about getting a farm dog, something with a loud scary bark.
Perhaps you could also mark the electric fence with a “Danger, High Voltage” sign too, to stop anyone else turning it off.
I’m sure though that the use of the ‘buzz’ word “disease” should be a deterrent, as trespassersbeing selfish types, will think you are worried about THEIR health and not that of the pigs!
I was looking for some sort of biohazard sign, but I think the disease ones will work with most people. As for the rest, I suspect nothing will work.
claymore
“front towards enemy”
dummy claymores….thatll stop em
I’ve been involved a lot with politics, and what grabs attention.
Try a deaths head (sorry no icons) and “ENTRY WITHOUT PROPER PRECAUTIONS MAY LEAD TO DISABILITY AND DEATH”.
Note, you don’t say whose disability or Death.
Good Luck
