What’s for dinner?
26 07 2007
What better to accompany locally sourced lamb chops (or home-made fish cakes for the Other Half), than just picked vegetables that went from the garden to the plate in less than 45 minutes. We had new potatoes (Colleen, first earlies that are running late) tossed in home-made aioli; broad beans and baby carrots tossed in butter with a little lemon juice; and then finished with a home-made berry kissel (strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants) topped with cream plus a scattering of raspberries and blackcurrants. I’ll try to post the kissel recipe in the next day or two as it’s getting late now.
