More rain

We’ve had another good spell of rain overnight and this morning, with another 300 litres of water being collected in the butts.

It’s exactly the sort of rain the land needs as it’s light, steady and lasts for several hours, allowing the water to soak in instead of running off.

Of course, it does mean the water butts won’t come anyway near full, even over a few days, but there’s still plenty to meet the daily needs of the pigs and chickens plus leave some to spare.
