After three years of hard work, the Other Half learned tonight that she has passed her final exam and gained her Masters in Education (Leadership and Management).
Not only that, but her overall mark was a brilliant 83 per cent.
I’m very pleased for her as it’s been a long, hard slog that’s coincided with moving house, changing jobs several times, getting the croft established, dealing with all the problems we’ve had on the croft, being mum to two delightful boys, and also doing her Scottish Chartered Teacher qualification (equivalent to another Masters). (Okay, and putting up with me.)
Mind you, as I said to the women in the local shop tonight (I nipped out to get the OH a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates as a very rare celebration treat), it just goes to confirm something I’ve known for years - the OH is very good at telling people what to do!
Hmm, I suppose I can now say that I’m living with an intellectual. Mind you, that probably makes me her bit of rough!
Anyway, congratulations OH - you deserve it.

Brilliant, well done! Hope you enjoyed your well-earned wine and choccies!
Well done, if there is one teacher (and you know how I feel about them) that deserves it then it’s the OH!
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations, Linda! All your hard-work has paid off. From the other Linda in sunny Australia.
Hats off to the OH. I’m currently learning Gaelic and doing a post-grad in Early Years - I certainly couldn’t add Chartered Teacher to the mix!
India
Fantastic - bloody well done! I take my hat off to anyone who achieves ANYTHING after their children take their first breath…
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I just have to wait for the Chartered Teacher bit now. Keep your fingers crossed.
