More doubts over micro wind generation

I don’t have much time for Newsnight’s Ethical Man but occasionally his blog hits the nail on the head.

Today, he’s turned his sights on the generation of electricity using micro turbines and righly asks, “Are domestic wind turbines an eco-con?”

There are also some very informative responses to his post - alongside the usual uninformed rubbish!

To buy, or not to buy?

I’ve now had the opportunity to read the review and summary of George Monbiot’s book Heat, which was actually a straight lift from two posts on Dave Pollard’s blog on salon.com and not an original post on Relentlessly Progressive Economics.

Why can’t bloggers simply link to the original material, add a word or two of their own and leave it at that? But that’s by the by.

Dave starts by saying that “From the outset, Monbiot makes clear that he’s not looking for a subsistence solution: He doesn’t believe any such solution can be ’sold’ to the majority of the people in affluent nations, so he doesn’t propose to try.
