Wasted opportunities

Despite all the words, pledges and treaties, the world’s governments are singularly failing to do anything to curb carbon dioxide emissions and slow global warming.

On Monday, the BBC reported that “the rise in humanity’s emissions of carbon dioxide has accelerated sharply”.

An analysis by the Global Carbon Project found emissions had been rising by less than one percent a year up to 2000, but have now acclerated and are rising at 2.5% per year. Read the rest of this entry »
