First snow

The temperature dropped quite suddenly later in the day and that, combined with strong winds, saw me out freshening up the bedding for the pigs.

Needless to say, Doris always enjoys fluffing up her bed with fresh straw.

And no sooner had I finished than we were hit by hard driving snow, the first for the season. There wasn’t much, just enough to say “winter’s here” and give me a thorough ice-blasting.
