With morning temperatures now hovering around 4C, heavy dew and moderate winds, it was inevitable that the pigs would find something chilly and wet for me to do.

When I went out to feed the pigs this morning I discovered Doris and Delilah, two of our Berkshire gilts, had decided to have a play with their trough.

They’d hauled it out of the ground, tossed it around a few times and then happily trampled the already boggy ground into a thoroughly stinking bog, complete with a fair amount of pig manure. Read the rest of this entry »
