I went to Findlay and Leiper, our local butcher in Insch, this morning to collect our latest batch of pork.
The butcher said it was very good quality and commercial - meaning it had less back fat than we aim for!
It certainly looked good and I think our customers will be pleased with the amount and weight. Each half side will amount to seven joints (between 1.5 and 2.0 kg), 12-13 chops, spare ribs, hocks, trotters, a kidney and a bag of belly fat. Read the rest of this entry »
Yes, things really are breaking again.
Remember the broken trailer? The Defender? The breadmaker? The washing machine? The washing again? The borehole pump, the central heating pump and the washing machine? And too many others to mention?
Well, on Sunday, the television started blinking. No great loss, but it can be useful for diverting children from time to time when under pressure to get jobs done. Slip on a DVD and you can get at least an hour’s work done.
