Looking like a real farm

We were getting ready to cut our hay by hand, but a neighbouring farmer decided he’d like the hay, so three tractors, a mower, a tedder, a baler and a week’s work later saw the field was covered with large bales.

 

I can run through the field again

The boys loved watching the farm machinery in action, but best of all for them was being able to run through the field again. Our neighbour was also pleased because he got 51 bales of good quality hay from five acres - effectively 10 bales an acre.

 

Walking through the field

The Other Half and the boys went for a walk to “inspect” the resulting bales and enjoy the views from the field once more.
