Two chicks out and two on the way

Our first Scots Grey chicks of the year hatched today.

We started with six eggs, but candling on day seven showed that two were infertile and these were discarded.

Three of the remaining four began pipping yesterday, with one chick fully emerged and dry when we got up this morning.
