The Other Half arrived at work 40 minutes late today to be greeted by disapproval because people on the coast have no idea that the effects of the cold weather are continuing to be felt inland.
In actual fact, it was quite an achievement for the Other Half to get to work that soon as it was still snowing when she left, there was snow drifting across the roads, there’d been no gritters through and the ploughed sections of road were like tunnels.
She was able to get through because I had no need for the Defender today, so she drove it in. If the Defender hadn’t been available then she would not have been able to get to work at all. Read the rest of this entry »
